ABS module is bad ($1200-$2000, electrical tape $2)
sunroof is leaky ($750+ to properly fix, $5 for a bodge seal job)
headlights are crap (not oem) ($300)
foglights aren’t supposed to have water in them ($60)
exhaust leak, right behind cat ($50-150???)
could probably use brake pads soon-ish ($350)
door locks are no longer power ($550)
Grand total: $1317-4160

What pads are you looking at? These are results for an 08 g35x sedan from tirerack:

$350 brake pads!?!?!?!?!? Are they made out of unobtainium?

Just what are those $350 brake pads made of? Even with rotors, that is a whole lot.

Thankfully the list of thing my G37 needs is significantly smaller:
New front performance pads and drilled/slotted rotors
Exhaust from headers back, including cats probably
Valve cover gaskets
Spark plugs
All the fluids in about 4k miles aka next month
Shocks/struts to lower it
Although I did have somebody offer $4800 today, I won’t lie I’m tempted to take. Just nothing super interesting right now and I don’t have any set car as a replacement so that’s why I hesitate.
